Absolutely. Your funds are protected with our secure escrow system - money is only released after match results are verified. All payments are processed through trusted payment providers with bank-level encryption. Our app only accesses what's needed for gameplay recording and never collects personal data. Plus, our AI-powered verification and human moderators ensure fair play in every match.
Yes, DuelSkill is completely legal. We are a skill-based gaming platform, not gambling. The outcome of every match is determined entirely by player skill, not chance or luck. This distinction is important - gambling relies on random outcomes, while our platform rewards the better player. Skill-based competitions for money are legal in most jurisdictions, similar to esports tournaments or chess competitions.
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and participate in matches on DuelSkill. This is a legal requirement for platforms involving real money. Age verification may be required during account creation or when making your first withdrawal.
Money & Payments
Go to your Wallet in the app and click "Add Funds". We accept major credit/debit cards and various payment methods. Deposits are instant and you can start playing immediately.
The minimum entry fee is $2. There's no maximum limit, but both players must agree on the entry fee before the match begins.
Withdrawals are typically processed within 24-48 hours. The time to receive funds depends on your payment method - cards may take 3-5 business days, while some methods are instant.
U.S.-based players are legally required to report income exceeding $600 to the IRS. Any player who withdraws more than $600 from DuelSkill must report this income to the government. To comply with these regulations, tax information must be submitted, and a Form 1099 will be issued at the end of the tax year for tax filing purposes. All personal information is securely stored and shared only with the IRS, in accordance with legal requirements.
We charge a 10% commission on winnings only. There are no fees for deposits, withdrawals, or losing matches. If a match is cancelled or refunded, no fees apply.
Both players' entry fees are held in secure escrow until the match is completed and results are verified. This protects both parties and ensures winners receive their earnings.

Recordings ensure fair play and provide evidence for dispute resolution. They're automatically captured by our app and securely stored. Only moderators can access recordings during disputes.
When you start a match in the app, it automatically records your screen. This footage is uploaded for moderator review to ensure fair play. The recording system has minimal impact on performance, using only 100MB-500MB of memory.
If a player disconnects, they can rejoin and continue playing as long as the match hasn't ended. However, if they don't rejoin before the match ends, they automatically lose. This policy exists to prevent players from faking disconnects or "lag" to avoid a loss. If you believe there was a legitimate issue, you can report the match and our moderators will review the recording and determine the outcome.
Our app automatically captures and sends your gameplay recording when the match ends. Players then submit their outcome (won, lost, or report a violation). If both sides agree on the result, the match resolves instantly and the winner receives their payout. If there's a disagreement or a violation is reported, our trained AI analyzes the recording to determine the winner, and a moderator reviews the case for accuracy before releasing the payout. The recording system has minimal impact on performance, using only 100MB-500MB of memory.
